Dance Discovery Series
Ballet Theatre of Phoenix invites dancers of all levels to step outside their comfort zone and explore new movement styles with its brand-new Dance Discovery Saturdays series.
Held the third Saturday of every month from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m., at Ballet Theatre of Phoenix, each 90-minute class is led by a master instructor and focuses on a different dance form—ranging from contemporary to flamenco. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or brand-new to the studio, these classes are a chance to expand your technique, experience new rhythms, and ignite your creativity.
The Nutcracker
Delight in the magic of The Nutcracker Dec. 12 - 14.
This holiday classic returns to the Herberger Theater stage to delight audiences of all ages featuring Convergence Ballet Company, Silambam Phoenix, and ¡Ay Flamenco!

Ian Parsons
A former dancer with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, The National Ballet of Canada, and London’s West End, Ian brings decades of international experience as a performer, teacher, and leader in dance education.
As Director, Parsons will lead all aspects of BTP’s artistic and educational programming, from curriculum and faculty development to performance, outreach, and strategic vision. He will also take the helm of Convergence Ballet, BTP’s affiliated professional company, to continue building a meaningful bridge between student training and professional experience.
